Nozizwe Madlala-Routledge is founder and director of Embrace Dignity, a new South African non-governmental organization which is affiliated with the International Coalition Against Trafficking in Women. Previously, Madlala-Routledge, a Quaker activist affiliated with the Natal Organization of Women and the South African Communist Party, served in the South African Parliament as Deputy Minister of Defense and Deputy Minister of Health. Madlala-Routledge was appointed co-facilitator of the recently-formed African Nonviolence and Peacebuilding Network.
